Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 August 2026

We want Pregnancy Yoga Club to feel straightforward from the start, so these Terms & Conditions explain how our courses and classes work, what we ask of you, and what you can expect from us.

By booking a Pregnancy Yoga Club course, class, taster session or event, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Pregnancy Yoga Club

Pregnancy Yoga Club provides pregnancy yoga, movement, relaxation and birth-preparation classes, courses, workshops and related activities.

Our sessions are designed to support you during pregnancy through purposeful movement, breathing techniques, practical preparation and education.

Pregnancy Yoga Club classes are not medical care and nothing taught or discussed during a session should be considered medical advice or a substitute for advice from your midwife, GP, obstetrician or other qualified healthcare professional.

2. Who can attend Pregnancy Yoga

Our Pregnancy Yoga classes are designed for pregnant women from 14 weeks of pregnancy onwards (the second trimester).

You do not need any previous yoga experience to take part.

By booking and attending, you confirm that:

  • you will be at least 14 weeks pregnant when you attend your first session;

  • to the best of your knowledge, you are able to participate safely in pregnancy yoga and gentle-to-moderate physical activity;

  • you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, pregnancy complications, injuries or other circumstances which could affect your participation;

  • you will seek advice from your midwife, GP or maternity team before participating if you have any concerns about whether pregnancy yoga is suitable for you; and

  • you will follow any advice or restrictions given to you by your healthcare professionals.

We may ask you to obtain medical clearance before participating if we believe this is appropriate.

We also reserve the right to ask you not to participate in a particular exercise or session where we reasonably believe doing so may not be appropriate or safe for you.

3. Your health declaration

Before attending your first session, you will be asked to complete a health and participation declaration.

Pregnancy changes, sometimes quickly. It is therefore your responsibility to tell your instructor before each session about anything that has changed since completing your original declaration.

This includes, but isn't limited to:

  • new or worsening pain or injury;

  • bleeding;

  • dizziness or fainting;

  • unusual shortness of breath;

  • pregnancy complications;

  • changes to your medical care;

  • advice from your midwife, GP, consultant or maternity team affecting exercise;

  • pelvic girdle pain or other significant musculoskeletal discomfort; or

  • anything else that may affect your ability to participate safely.

If you're unsure whether something is relevant, please tell us. We'd much rather know.

4. Taking part safely

Every pregnancy and every body is different.

During a session, you are responsible for listening to your body and working within your own comfortable limits. You should never feel that you have to complete a movement, position or exercise simply because the rest of the class is doing it.

Please stop immediately and tell your instructor if you experience pain, dizziness, feeling faint, unusual breathlessness, bleeding, contractions or anything else that concerns you.

Instructions, modifications and alternatives may be offered during sessions, but these cannot take account of medical information that has not been disclosed to us.

If your healthcare professional has advised you not to exercise, or has advised you to avoid particular movements or activities, you must follow that advice.

5. Pregnancy Yoga is not medical advice

We love talking honestly about pregnancy, birth and what your body is doing, and education forms part of the Pregnancy Yoga Club course.

However, information shared during classes is for general education and wellbeing purposes only.

It does not constitute medical, midwifery, physiotherapy or other clinical advice and should not be used to diagnose or treat any medical condition or make decisions about your individual maternity care.

Always speak to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional about your individual pregnancy and medical circumstances.

6. Booking your course

Places are limited and must be booked in advance through our website or another booking method specifically provided by Pregnancy Yoga Club.

Your place is not confirmed until we have received the required payment and you have received confirmation of your booking.

Bookings are personal to you and may not be transferred to another person without our prior agreement.

7. Payment

The full course fee is payable at the point of booking unless we specifically agree otherwise.

Payment will be taken securely through the payment options available at checkout.

Any prices displayed on our website at the time of booking will be the price you pay.

We will not reserve a place on a course without payment.

8. Cancelling your course

We understand that plans change - particularly during pregnancy.

If you need to cancel your place, please contact us as soon as possible.

More than 30 days before the course starts

If you cancel more than 30 calendar days before the advertised start date of your course, we will normally offer you a full refund.

30 days or less before the course starts

If you cancel within 30 calendar days of the advertised course start date, we reserve the right not to provide a refund.

This is because our courses have limited places and, once a place has been reserved close to the course date, we may not be able to offer it to somebody else.

Where we are able to fill your place from a waiting list, we may choose to provide a full or partial refund at our discretion.

Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.

9. Missing individual sessions

Our courses are sold as complete programmes rather than individual classes.

If you are unable to attend one of the sessions within your course, we cannot normally offer a refund, partial refund or credit for that missed session.

Where possible, we'll always try to be reasonable and help, but alternative sessions or transfers cannot be guaranteed.

10. Pregnancy-related circumstances

We know pregnancy doesn't always follow the diary.

If you become medically unable to continue the course, experience pregnancy complications, give birth earlier than expected or experience another significant pregnancy-related circumstance, please contact us.

We will consider these situations individually and will always try to deal with them fairly and sensitively.

Depending on the circumstances and how much of the course has already taken place, we may offer a transfer, credit or partial refund.

This is considered on a case-by-case basis and cannot always be guaranteed.

11. If we cancel a class

Occasionally we may need to change or cancel a session because of instructor illness, venue availability, severe weather or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If an individual session has to be cancelled, we'll make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement date or alternative arrangement.

We are not responsible for additional costs you may incur as a result of a class being moved or cancelled, such as travel, childcare or parking costs.

12. If we cancel a course

Pregnancy Yoga Club reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course where reasonably necessary, including where there are insufficient bookings to run the course.

If we cancel an entire course and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will receive a refund of the course fee you have paid.

13. Illness

Please don't attend a class if you're unwell with an infectious illness or if attending could reasonably put other members of the group at risk.

If you're unsure, please get in touch before coming along.

Our usual missed-session policy will apply, although we may consider exceptional circumstances individually.

14. Personal belongings

Please look after any personal belongings you bring to a Pregnancy Yoga Club session.

Pregnancy Yoga Club cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where caused by our negligence.

15. Equipment

Yoga mats, bolsters and the equipment required for our Pregnancy Yoga sessions will normally be provided unless we tell you otherwise.

Please use equipment as instructed and let your instructor know immediately if you believe any equipment is damaged or unsuitable.

16. Photography and social media

From time to time, we may take photographs or video during a Pregnancy Yoga Club session for our website, social media or other marketing.

We will never assume that booking a course gives us permission to photograph or film you for marketing purposes.

Where photography or filming is taking place, we'll tell you and obtain your consent where required. You're completely welcome to say no – it will never affect your ability to participate in the class.

17. Personal information

When you make a booking, we will collect certain personal information needed to manage your booking and provide the course.

Because this is a pregnancy-specific service, some of the information you voluntarily provide to us may relate to your health or pregnancy.

We will handle personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy.

Health information will only be used where reasonably necessary to help us provide the service safely and appropriately.

18. Responsibility and liability

Pregnancy Yoga Club will take reasonable care in providing its classes and instruction.

As with any form of physical activity, however, participation in yoga and movement involves some inherent risk of discomfort or injury.

By participating, you acknowledge that you are choosing to undertake physical activity and agree to:

  • follow the instructor's guidance;

  • work within your own comfortable limits;

  • stop if something doesn't feel right;

  • disclose relevant medical or pregnancy-related information; and

  • seek appropriate medical advice where required.

Pregnancy Yoga Club cannot be responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from information or medical circumstances which you have not disclosed to us, from failing to follow reasonable instructions, or from participating contrary to advice given by your healthcare professional.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

19. Conduct in class

Pregnancy Yoga Club is intended to be a friendly, supportive and respectful environment.

We ask everyone attending to respect the instructor, other participants and the venue.

We reserve the right to ask somebody to leave a session, or in serious circumstances the remainder of a course, where their behaviour is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or significantly affects the experience or wellbeing of other participants.

20. Changes to instructors or venues

Occasionally it may be necessary to use a different instructor, room or venue from the one originally advertised.

Where this happens, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know in advance.

A change of instructor or a reasonable change of venue does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions occasionally to reflect changes to our courses, booking arrangements or legal requirements.

The terms applying to your booking will normally be those in force when you made your booking.

22. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict your statutory rights as a consumer.

These Terms & Conditions and any contract between you and Pregnancy Yoga Club are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

23. Questions or concerns

If something isn't clear, you have a health concern you'd like to discuss before attending, or your circumstances change after booking, please get in touch.
